The Cabo Real golf course is located in the
middle of the 3,500 acre Cabo Real resort development
halfway between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose
Del Cabo. Designed by Robert Trent Jones II,
Jones says "I tried to create a high quality
course that appears to have been designed by
its setting, where every hole features vistas
of the sea." Both Golf Magazine and Golf
Digest have rated Cabo Real as among the best
in the world. Cabo Real works it way up into
the mountains for the first six holes before
turning towards the sea, finishing the front
nine around a lake. The second nine heads down
to the Sea of Cortez for a scenic tour of the
ocean. The PGA Tour Senior Slam was held at
Cabo Real in 1996 and 1999. The course rating
from the tips is 74.1 with a slope of 140. There
are five tee placements for golfers of all abilities.
A classic layout, Cabo Real is an honest test
of golf for all.

The newest of Jack Nicklaus's signature courses
in Los Cabos is his most spectacular, and maybe
most difficult. The course snakes its way through
a couple of canyons full of raw desert beauty.
Between those canyons, the course visits the
Sea of Cortez for six stunning holes where the
salt spray occasionally cools you after breaking
on the rocks and beaches. This spectacular course
was opened in 1999 and is now the signature
course of the Cabo Real Resort. One distraction,
however, is the location of the practice range
where whales are watching your practice shots
from the Sea of Cortez. The course rating is
74.7 with a slope of 143, yet in the Nicklaus
tradition, it is a shot makers dream. Ranging
from 4,855 to 7,050 yards, this course has five
sets of tees for the golfers to choose. After
golf, the nineteenth hole is perched above the
breakers, a perfect place to relax after taming
the monster.
The original Jack Nicklaus signature course
in Los Cabos, Palmilla has 27 holes of desert
terrain and ocean views. Opened in 1992, Palmilla
was the first of the championship courses built
in Los Cabos. The Arroyo and Mountain nines
wind through old cardon cactus and rugged desert
terrain. The Ocean nine drops down from the
desert to the Sea of Cortez before returning
to the clubhouse. Any combination of two of
the nines makes for a challenging, yet pleasant
day. The PGA Tour Senior Slam was played here
in 1997, where Hale Irwin scored 13 under par
for 36 holes to win.
Opened in November, 2000, this Tom Fazio masterpiece
is a private membership course overlooking the
Sea of Cortez. Carved out of the mountain terrain
in which it sits, Querencia is a jewel in the
desert. Every hole offers a view of the sea.
Mountains stretch as far as the eye can see
in the opposite direction. Cactus, native trees,
flowers, birds and jack rabbits call the course
home. Five tee locations allow players of all
abilities the pleasure of playing this magnificent
layout. In February, 2001, Phil Michelson defeated
Sergio Garcia in a Shell's Wonderful World of
Golf match here. Playing 7,070 yards from the
tips, rated at 74.6 with a slope of 145, Querencia
is among the top golf courses in the world. Billionaire,
a Mexican magazine catering to the affluent
Mexican, rates Querencia the number one course
in all of Mexico. As Querencia is a private
club, access to this course is very limited.

One of the premier desert golf course designers,
Tom Weiskopf, designed this newest of the Los
Cabos courses, a desert gem that takes advantage
of the incredible natural surroundings. Opened
in early 2002, this course has views of the
ocean from every hole, even as the golfer navigates
through the desert arroyos and around the many
bunkers which guard the expansive greens. Weiskopf
calls this course one of the most scenic he
has designed. This course has a rating from
the championship tees of 74.3 and slope of 144.

A Jack Nicklaus Signature course, the Cabo
Del Sol Ocean course is ranked among the "Top
100 Courses in the World" by Golf Magazine.
The Ocean Course is one of the few courses in
the world that combines awe-inspiring views
of the desert, mountain and sea. The meandering
layout places seven holes along the coastline
of craggy rock outcroppings and sun-washed shores,
including the famous 16, 17 and 18, which Jack
Nicklaus refers to as "the three finest
finishing holes in all of golf." The PGA
Tour Senior Slam event was held at Cabo Del
Sol Ocean course in 1995 and 1998, and in 1996
the Shell Wonderful World of Golf match featured
Jack Nicklaus and Lee Trevino. The course measures
7103 yards, has a rating of 74.5 and slope of
147. Five sets of tees are available for golfers
of all levels. Head Pro: Brad Wheatley, PGA

The Raven Golf Club at Cabo San Lucas begins
with magnificent scenery of Land’s End,
The San Lucas Bay and the Sea of Cortez. Complementing
