The
Capes, is one of the best golf destinations in the
world, with several magnificent golf courses designed
by the most reputable architects, such as Jack Nicklaus,
Tom Fazio, Robert Trent Jones II, Tom Weiskopf and
the Dye Corporation.
Three of these championship masterpieces: Palmilla,
Cabo del Sol, and Cabo Real were hosts to the world
known PGA Senior Slam, presenting famous players:
Jack Nicklaus, Dave Stockton, Lee Trevino and Hale
Irwin. Also, Shell's Wonderful World of Golf chose
Los Cabos twice as its destination. The first time
in 1995 the Shell featured Nicklaus and Trevino on
the Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol and the second time
in 2001 presented Sergio Garcia and Phil Mickelson
at the private golf course Querencia.
Los
Cabos, an area that is proud of its World Class Golf
Courses, and is actually made up of two cities at
the tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula, the casual and
quaint San Jose del Cabo, and about a 25 minute drive
towards lands end you will find the more high-profile,
high energy Cabo San Lucas, well known for its beautiful
marina and exciting nightlife. San Jose del Cabo has
lots of shopping with it's historic mission located
in the center of town, close to all the shopping and
across the street from the plaza, where locals and
tourist alike gather for traditional music, fiestas
and cultural performances. Performances are scheduled
in the evenings pretty much on a year round basis,
and this same area is also known for a spectacular
event called The San Jose Days, a spectacular 3-day
event annually that is filled with music, food, and
fun.
These
two cities offer the perfect setting for Championship
Golf Courses, pristine white sandy beaches, striking
deserts, and the beautiful Sea of Cortez provide breathtaking
views and terrain, and with 6 championship courses
as well as two other premium courses Los Cabos truly
has something to offer everyone, from beginners to
advanced golfers.
Please
